DTC P3000-603: Battery Control System [02/2014 - 11/2016]: Procedure
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Check for DTCs.
Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes
Result
Proceed to P3000-603 only is output. DTCs other than P3000-603 are also output. - Turn the power switch off.
Result: 2
DTCs other than P3000-603 are also output.
GO TO DTC CHART (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM). Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [02/2014 - 11/2015] Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2015 - 11/2016]
Result: 1
P3000-603 only is output.

- CLEAN BATTERY COOLING BLOWER FILTER
*a Filter - Check the HV battery cooling system intake port for blockage.
Refer to COMPONENTS [02/2014 - ]
HINT:
If anything is blocking the HV battery cooling system intake port, remove it.
- Clean the filter.
Refer to INSPECTION [02/2014 - ]

- Read the freeze frame data of DTC P3000-603.NOTE:
Although freeze frame data is recorded before and after a DTC is stored, for this step it is only necessary to read the freeze flame data recorded before "0s" (when the DTC was stored).

- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Temp of Batt TB1 to TB6.

Tester Display Temp of Batt TB1 Temp of Batt TB2 Temp of Batt TB3 Temp of Batt TB4 Temp of Batt TB5 Temp of Batt TB6 - According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List and check that the value of each "Temp of Batt TB1 to TB6" is 40°C (104°F) or less.
HINT:
If the value of any of "Temp of Batt TB1 to TB6" is more than 40°C (104°F), turn the power switch off and wait until the values to decrease to 40°C (104°F) or less before continuing this procedure.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Battery Block Vol -V01 to -V15.

Tester Display Battery Block Vol -V01 Battery Block Vol -V02 Battery Block Vol -V03 Battery Block Vol -V04 Battery Block Vol -V05 Battery Block Vol -V06 Battery Block Vol -V07 Battery Block Vol -V08 Battery Block Vol -V09 Battery Block Vol -V10 Battery Block Vol -V11 Battery Block Vol -V12 Battery Block Vol -V13 Battery Block Vol -V14 Battery Block Vol -V15 - According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List and check the value of each "Battery Block Vol -V01 to -V15" with the power switch on (IG).
