Removal [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:
    • After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2016 - ]

    • Before replacing the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly, refer to Registration.

      Refer to REGISTRATION [11/2016 - ]

  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. REMOVE NO. 3 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2016 - ]

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  6. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  7. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  10. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  11. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  12. REMOVE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect each connector.

    2. Remove the bolt, nut and hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly.

  13. REMOVE NO. 1 POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL BRACKET

      Disengage the 3 claws to remove the No. 1 power management control bracket from the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly.
