Removal [02/2014 - 11/2016]: Procedure

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    See step  1

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  3. DRAIN COOLANT (for Inverter) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016]

  5. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  7. REMOVE INTAKE AIR RESONATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  8. REMOVE INLET NO. 2 AIR CLEANER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  9. REMOVE NO. 3 INVERTER BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  10. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the 3 connectors.

    2. Disengage the clamp.
    3. Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support sub-assembly.
  11. REMOVE CONDENSER ASSEMBLY WITH RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the 2 clips to disconnect the outlet hybrid radiator hose and inlet hybrid radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

      *1 Outlet Hybrid Radiator Hose
      *2 Inlet Hybrid Radiator Hose
      NOTE:

      Put pieces of cloth into the pipes and disconnected hoses or cover the pipes and hoses with plastic bags to prevent entry of foreign matter.

    2. Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the cooler condenser assembly.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

    4. Remove the bolt and disconnect the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly from the cooler condenser assembly.

    5. Remove the O-ring from the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

    6. Disengage the 4 claws.

    7. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the cooler condenser assembly with radiator assembly as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the condenser or radiator when removing the cooler condenser assembly with radiator assembly.

  12. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and cooler condenser assembly from the radiator assembly.
