Installation [02/2014 - 11/2016]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Temporarily install the cooler condenser assembly to the radiator assembly with the 4 bolts.

    2. Tighten the 2 bolts (A).

      Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf) 

    3. Install the cooler condenser assembly with the 2 bolts (B).

      Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf) 

      HINT: 

      If a new cooler condenser assembly is installed, add compressor oil to the condenser as follows.

      Capacity

      Add 40 cc (1.35 fl. oz)

      Compressor Oil

      ND-OIL 11 or equivalent

  2. INSTALL CONDENSER ASSEMBLY WITH RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:

      Do not damage the condenser or radiator when installing the cooler condenser assembly with radiator assembly.

    2. Engage the 4 claws to install the cooler condenser assembly with radiator assembly.
    3. Remove the vinyl tape from the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.
    4. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

      Compressor Oil

      ND-OIL 11 or equivalent

    5. Install the O-ring to the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.
    6. Install the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly to the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

    7. Remove the vinyl tape from the discharge hose sub-assembly and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.
    8. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the discharge hose sub-assembly.

      Compressor Oil

      ND-OIL 11 or equivalent

    9. Install the O-ring to the discharge hose sub-assembly.
    10. Install the discharge hose sub-assembly to the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

    11. Using the reference point, connect the outlet hybrid radiator hose and inlet hybrid radiator hose with the marking (green) and engage the clip within the area shown in the illustration.

      *1 Outlet Hybrid Radiator Hose
      *2 Inlet Hybrid Radiator Hose
      *a Reference Point
      *b Marking (Green)
      *c Clip Installation Angle (15°)
      *d Clip Installation Angle (45°)
      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force to the outlet hybrid radiator hose and inlet hybrid radiator hose.

  3. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 5 bolts.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

    2. Engage the clamp.
    3. Connect the 3 connectors.
  4. INSTALL NO. 3 INVERTER BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  5. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. INSTALL INLET NO. 2 AIR CLEANER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  8. INSTALL INTAKE AIR RESONATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  9. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [02/2014 - 11/2016]

  10. ADD COOLANT (for Inverter) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  11. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Inverter) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  12. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT 

    See step  2

  13. WARM UP COMPRESSOR 

    See step  3

  14. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK 

    See step  4

  15. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 78 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 77

  16. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [02/2014 - 11/2016]

  17. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [02/2014 - 11/2016]
