DTC P2532-772: Ignition Switch Run Position Circuit High [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Check for DTCs.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Proceed to
      P2532-772 only is output.
      DTCs except P2532-772 are output.
    5. Turn the power switch off.

    Result:  2

    DTCs except P2532-772 are output.

    Result:  1

    P2532-772 only is output.

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CAN BUS CHECK) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: System Select / CAN Bus Check.

      CAN Bus Check 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      All of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed. A
      None of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed, or some of them are not displayed. B
    4. Turn the power switch off.

    Result:  2

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2016 - ] 

    Result:  1

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (+B SHORT) 
    1. Disconnect the A85 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

      *a Rear view of wire harness connector
      (to Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU Assembly)
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A85-3 (IG2) - Body ground Power switch off 1 V or less
    3. Reconnect the A85 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  1

    OK 

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  COMPONENTS [11/2016 - ] 

    Result:  2

    NG

  4. INSPECT SEMICONDUCTOR PWR INTEGRATION ECU (IG2) 

    Refer to INSPECTION [02/2014 - ]

    Result

    Proceed to
    OK
    NG

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPLACE SEMICONDUCTOR PWR INTEGRATION ECU (IG2). Refer to  COMPONENTS [02/2014 - ] 

    Result:  1

    OK

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - SEMICONDUCTOR PWR INTEGRATION ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the A85 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.
    2. Remove the semiconductor pwr integration ECU from the No. 1 engine room relay block and No. 1 junction block assembly.

      *1 No. 1 Engine Room Relay Block and No. 1 Junction Block Assembly
      *2 Semiconductor Pwr Integration ECU
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU Assembly)

      Standard Voltage

      A85-3 (IG2) - Body ground Power switch off 1 V or less
    4. Install the semiconductor pwr integration ECU.
    5. Reconnect the A85 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result:  1

    OK

  6. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS 
    1. Check for intermittent problems.

      Refer to CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [02/2014 - ]

      1. Check the connection and terminal contact pressure of the connectors and wire harnesses between the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly and the No. 1 engine room relay block and No. 1 junction block assembly.
      2. When the power switch is on (READY), jiggle the connectors and wire harnesses between the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly and the No. 1 engine room relay block and No. 1 junction block assembly.

      Result

      Proceed to
      Problem symptom does not recur.
      Problem symptom recurs.

    Result:  1

    Problem symptom does not recur. 

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  COMPONENTS [11/2016 - ] 

    Result:  2

    Problem symptom recurs.
