Installation [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL TEMPERATURE SWITCH 
    1. Using a 19 mm union nut wrench, install a new temperature switch to the water pipe joint.

      Specified tightening torque 

      Torque: 7.4 N*m (75 kgf*cm, 65 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not apply any excessive force to the cooler pipe when installing the temperature switch.

      HINT: 

      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

        Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2016 - ]

      • When using a 19 mm union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 30 mm (1.18 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.38 in.)): 6.0 N*m (61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf)

    2. Connect the temperature switch connector.
  2. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    See step  2

  3. INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  4. INSTALL HEATER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
