Removal [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    See step  1

  2. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  3. REMOVE HEATER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  4. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Rear Catalyst) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  5. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE GAS CONTROL ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 5 bolts and exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly from the center exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst).

      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force to the exhaust by-pass pipe when removing the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly.
      • When removing the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly, use caution because engine coolant may spray from the exhaust heat recirculation system.
    2. Remove the exhaust by-pass pipe from the exhaust pipe gas control actuator sub-assembly.
