- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine)

- REMOVE ECM
Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016]
- REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT
Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016]
- REMOVE COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016]
- REMOVE EGR DELIVERY CHAMBER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
- DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28
- REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH (for Engine Mounting Stay Side)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34
- REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH (for Intake Manifold Side)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10
- REMOVE ENGINE MOVING CONTROL ROD BRACKET
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35
- REMOVE NO. 2 TIMING GEAR COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21
- SEPARATE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR ASSEMBLY
- SEPARATE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR ASSEMBLY
- SEPARATE ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR RH
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH
- Place a wooden block between a jack and the engine.
Wooden Block Placement Location NOTE:Make sure to set a jack as shown in the illustration.
- Jack up the engine slightly.NOTE:
Do not jack up the engine excessively.
- Using SST, remove the bolt.
- SST: 09961-00950
HINT:
There is not enough clearance to completely remove the bolt from the front No. 1 engine mounting bracket LH. Remove the front No. 1 engine mounting bracket LH together with the bolt.
- Remove the 5 bolts.
- Remove the front No. 1 engine mounting bracket LH together with the bolt.
- Place a wooden block between a jack and the engine.
- REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20
- REMOVE WATER INLET HOUSING
- REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY
- Using SST, hold the water pump pulley.
*a 12 mm Union Nut Wrench - SST: 09960-10010

- SST: 09960-10010
- Using SST and a 12 mm union nut wrench, remove the 4 bolts and separate the water pump pulley from the engine water pump assembly.
- SST: 09961-00950
HINT:
There is not enough clearance to completely remove the water pump pulley from the water pump shaft. Remove the water pump pulley together with the engine water pump assembly.
- Using SST, hold the water pump pulley.
