Replacement [02/2014 - ]: Procedure

Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - ] 

1. for LH Side:
   1. Using SST, remove the rear transaxle side gear oil seal from the rear traction motor with transaxle assembly.

2. for RH Side:
   1. Using SST, remove the rear transaxle side gear oil seal from the rear traction motor with transaxle assembly.

      *b	Turn

      • SST: 09612-30012 

1. for LH Side:
   1. Apply MP grease to the lip of a new rear transaxle side gear oil seal.
   2. Using SST and a hammer, install the rear transaxle side gear oil seal to the rear traction motor with transaxle assembly.

        1. 09316-00011

      Standard Depth

      7.1 to 8.1 mm (0.280 to 0.318 in.)

      NOTE:

      • Do not install the rear transaxle side gear oil seal at an angle.
      • Do not damage the rear transaxle side gear oil seal.
2. for RH Side:
   1. Apply MP grease to the lip of a new rear transaxle side gear oil seal.
   2. Using SST and a hammer, install the rear transaxle side gear oil seal to the rear traction motor with transaxle assembly.

      Standard Depth

      7.1 to 8.1 mm (0.280 to 0.318 in.)

      NOTE:

      • Do not install the rear transaxle side gear oil seal at an angle.
      • Do not damage the rear transaxle side gear oil seal.
