Removal [02/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ] 

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the No. 1 wire adjusting nut from the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

    2. Pull up the parking brake control pedal assembly claw.

      NOTE:

      Do not damage the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

    3. Remove the clip from the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

    4. Remove the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake control pedal assembly.
  3. SEPARATE PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER LH 

    Refer to DISASSEMBLY [02/2014 - ] 

  4. SEPARATE PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. REMOVE NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly from the backing plate.

    2. Disengage the clamp.

    3. Remove the 4 bolts, nut and No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.
    4. Remove the No. 1 parking brake cable support bracket, No. 2 parking brake cable support bracket and No. 2 cable support bracket from the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

      *1 No. 1 Parking Brake Cable Support Bracket *2 No. 2 Parking Brake Cable Support Bracket
      *3 No. 2 Cable Support Bracket - -
  6. REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly from the backing plate.

    2. Remove the 5 bolts and No. 2 parking brake cable assembly.

    3. Remove the parking brake cable support bracket, cable support bracket and No. 2 cable support bracket from the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly.
