DTC C1319-35: SCSS Changeover Solenoid Malfunction [02/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT BRAKE STROKE SIMULATOR CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Brake Stroke Simulator Cylinder Sub-assembly)
    2. Disconnect the A52 brake stroke simulator cylinder sub-assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (BSR) - 2 (SCSS) Always 21.45 to 23.15 Ω
      1 (BSR) or 2 (SCSS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPLACE BRAKE STROKE SIMULATOR CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - ] 

    Result:  1

    OK 

    See step  2

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - BRAKE STROKE SIMULATOR CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.
    2. Disconnect the A62 skid control ECU assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A62-5 (SS) - A52-2 (SCSS) Always Below 1 Ω
      A62-5 (SS) or A52-2 (SCSS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A62-2 (BS03) - A52-1 (BSR) Always Below 1 Ω
      A62-2 (BS03) or A52-1 (BSR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result:  1

    OK

  3. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (SOLENOID OUTPUT) 
    1. Reconnect the A62 skid control ECU assembly connector.

      *a Component with harness connected
      (Skid Control ECU Assembly)
    2. Reconnect the A52 brake stroke simulator cylinder sub-assembly connector.
    3. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A62-5 (SS) - Body ground Brake pedal depressed approximately 1.5 seconds after turning power switch on (IG) Below 1.5 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - ] 

    Result:  1

    OK

  4. RECONFIRM DTC 
    1. Turn the power switch off.
    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [02/2014 - ]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Clear DTCs 

    3. Turn the power switch off.
    4. Turn the power switch on (READY).
    5. Check if the same DTC is output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [02/2014 - ]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C1319-35 is not output. A
      DTC C1319-35 is output. B

    Result:  1

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [02/2014 - 11/2016]  Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2016 - ] 

    Result:  2

    REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]
