Disassembly [02/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the claw.

      *a Guide
      *b Pin
    2. Disengage the guide and pin to remove the map light bracket.
    3. Remove the 2 bolts and sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.

  2. REMOVE SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the guide and remove the sliding roof piece sub-assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side.

    3. Slide and remove the sunshade trim sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:

    Do not disassemble the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly except when replacing it.

    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

      *a Protective Tape - -

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Slide the rear roof drip channel in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to remove it.
    3. Hold down the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

    4. Using a screwdriver, slide the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly as shown in the illustration to remove it.

      *a Protective Tape - -

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
