Inspection [02/2014 - 11/2016]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SEAT) 
    1. Check the operation of the slide motor.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Slide Motor (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly (Driver Seat)))
      1. Check that the seat cushion moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

        OK

        Auxiliary battery Connection Operational Direction
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1        		 Seat cushion moves forward
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2        		 Seat cushion moves backward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly (driver seat).

    2. Check the operation of the lifter motor.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Lifter Motor (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly (Driver Seat)))
      1. Check that the seat cushion moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the lifter motor connector terminals.

        OK

        Auxiliary battery Connection Operational Direction
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1        		 Seat cushion moves upward
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2        		 Seat cushion moves downward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly (driver seat).

      (Front Vertical Motor (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly (Driver Seat)))

      Check the operation of the front vertical motor.

      1. Check that the seat cushion moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the front vertical motor connector terminals.

        OK

        Auxiliary battery Connection Operational Direction
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1        		 Seat cushion moves upward
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2        		 Seat cushion moves downward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly (driver seat).

    4. Check the operation of the cushion length motor. (w/ Seat Variable Cushion Switch)

      (Cushion Length Motor (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly (Driver Seat)))
      1. Check that the seat cushion moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the cushion length motor connector terminals.

        OK

        Auxiliary battery Connection Operational Direction
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1        		 Seat cushion moves forward
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2        		 Seat cushion moves backward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly (driver seat).

  2. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SEAT)

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Reclining Motor (Separate Type Front Seatback Spring Assembly (Driver Seat)))

      Check the operation of the reclining motor.

      1. Check that the seatback moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.

        OK

        Auxiliary battery Connection Operational Direction
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1        		 Seatback moves forward
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2        		 Seatback moves backward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seatback spring assembly (driver seat).

    2. Check the operation of the lumbar support adjustment motor.

      (Lumbar Support Adjustment Motor (Separate Type Front Seatback Spring Assembly (Driver Seat)))
      1. Check that the front seatback moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the lumbar support adjustment motor connector terminals.

        OK

        Auxiliary battery Connection Operational Direction
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2        		 Seatback moves forward
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1        		 Seatback moves backward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seatback spring assembly (driver seat).

  3. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SEAT)

      (Slide Motor (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly (Front Passenger Seat)))

      Check the operation of the slide motor.

      1. Check that the front seat cushion moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

        OK

      (Reclining Motor (Separate Type Front Seatback Spring Assembly (Front Passenger Seat)))

      Check the operation of the reclining motor.

      1. Check that the front seatback moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.
