DTC B15D8: Monitor Disconnected [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

      Result

      HINT: 

      • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.
      • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

  2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
      NOTE:

      Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

    NEXT 

  3. CHECK DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2016 - ]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  1

    OK 

    END

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the F129 parking assist ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F129-3 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F129-2 (+B) - F129-3 (GND1) Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      F129-1 (ACC) - F129-3 (GND1) Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      F129-6 (IG) - F129-3 (GND1) Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result:  1

    OK

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - PARKING ASSIST ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the F117 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the F129 parking assist ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F117-7 (TX3+) - F129-10 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F117-8 (TX3-) - F129-9 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F117-7 (TX3+) or F129-10 (TX+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F117-8 (TX3-) or F129-9 (TX-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result:  1

    OK

  6. REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU 
    1. Replace the parking assist ECU with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2016 - ]

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  1

    OK 

    END 

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]
