Door Unlock Detection Switch Circuit [02/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List

  2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the front door lock with motor assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]

    2. Inspect the front door lock with motor assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [02/2014 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - ] 

    Result:  1

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY OR BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the 4D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I14-8 (LSSR) - 4D-10 Always Below 1 Ω
      I14-8 (LSSR) or 4D-10 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I14-7 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result:  1

    OK

  4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016] Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016] Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Instrument Panel Junction Block Assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      MB-19 (LSFL) - 4D-10 Always Below 1 Ω

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016]  Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

    REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016]  Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2016 - ] 

  5. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the front door lock with motor assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]

    2. Inspect the front door lock with motor assembly RH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [02/2014 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - ] 

    Result:  1

    OK

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY OR BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the 4D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H15-7 (LSSR) - 4D-26 Always Below 1 Ω
      H15-7 (LSSR) or 4D-26 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H15-8 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  7. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016] Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016] Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      MB-17 (LSFR) - 4D-26 Always Below 1 Ω

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016]  Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

    REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016]  Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2016 - ] 

  8. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the rear door lock with motor assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]

    2. Inspect the rear door lock with motor assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [02/2014 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY OR BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the 4H instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K3-6 (LSSR) - 4H-34 Always Below 1 Ω
      K3-6 (LSSR) or 4H-34 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K3-9 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  10. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016] Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016] Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (Instrument Panel Junction Block Assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      MB-5 (LSWL) - 4H-34 Always Below 1 Ω

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016]  Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

    REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016]  Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2016 - ] 

  11. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the rear door lock with motor assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]

    2. Inspect the rear door lock with motor assembly RH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [02/2014 - ]

      Result

    REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]

  12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) OR BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the F18 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J3-6 (LSSR) - F18-2 (LSWR) Always Below 1 Ω
      J3-6 (LSSR) or F18-2 (LSWR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J3-9 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  1

    OK 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016]  Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
