DTC C1622: Back Camera Disconnected [02/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CONFIRM MODEL 
    1. Choose the model to be inspected.
      Result Proceed to
      w/o Navigation System A
      w/ Navigation System B

    Result:

    Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the F72 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the X13 television camera assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F72-11 (CA+) - X13-6 (CB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F72-12 (V+) - X13-3 (CV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F72-24 (V-) - X13-2 (CV-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F72-23 (CGND) - X13-5 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      F72-11 (CA+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F72-12 (V+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F72-24 (V-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F72-23 (CGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK 

    Go to next step 

  3. INSPECT RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Reconnect the F72 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F72-24 (V-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      F72-23 (CGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      *a Component with harness connected
      (Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F72-11 (CA+) - F72-23 (CGND) Power switch on (ACC) 5.5 to 7.05 V
      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY: 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]

    Result: 

    OK 

    Go to next step 

  4. INSPECT TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY 
    1. Reconnect the X13 television camera assembly connector.
    2. Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform of the television camera assembly.

      HINT: 

      A waterproof connector is used for the television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the radio and display receiver assembly with the connector connected.

      OK

      Waveform is similar to that shown in the illustration.

      Measurement setting 200 mV/DIV., 50 μs./DIV.
      Condition Power switch on (IG), shift lever in R

      HINT: 

      • The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the television camera assembly.
      • The video waveform is constantly output when the power switch is on (ACC).

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the F117 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the X13 television camera assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F117-11 (CA+) - X13-6 (CB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F117-12 (V+) - X13-3 (CV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F117-24 (V-) - X13-2 (CV-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F117-23 (CGND) - X13-5 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      F117-11 (CA+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F117-12 (V+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F117-24 (V-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F117-23 (CGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Proceed to

  6. INSPECT NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Reconnect the F117 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F117-24 (V-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      F117-23 (CGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

    Result:

    REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY:

  7. INSPECT TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY 
    1. Reconnect the X13 television camera assembly connector.
    2. Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform of the television camera assembly.

      HINT: 

      A waterproof connector is used for the television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the navigation receiver assembly with the connector connected.

      OK

      Waveform is similar to that shown in the illustration.
