Removal [08/2013 - 08/2016]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - 08/2016]

  2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Move the shift lever to N.
    2. Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly counterclockwise to remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

  3. SEPARATE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Separate the end of the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.

    2. Using a screwdriver, pull out the stopper of the transmission control cable assembly.

      *a Stopper
      NOTE:

      Do not remove the stopper. If it is removed, reinstall it to its original position.

    3. Rotate the nut counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the nut in that position, separate the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.

      NOTE:

      Do not rotate the nut excessively as the interior spring may come off and the transmission control cable assembly will not be reusable.

  4. REMOVE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the transmission control switch connector.

      *a Transmission Control Switch Connector
      *b Shift Lock Control ECU Connector
    2. Disconnect the shift lock control ECU connector.
    3. Disengage the 4 clamps and separate the wire harness from the transmission floor shift assembly.
    4. Remove the 4 bolts and transmission floor shift assembly from the body.

  5. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON COVER 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the shift lock release button cover from the transmission floor shift assembly.
