Removal [04/2014 - ]: Procedure

- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH
- REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
- REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER
- REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT
See step 4
- REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
- Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley in place and loosen the crankshaft pulley set bolt until 2 or 3 threads are screwed into crankshaft.

HINT:
For the 64 mm (2.52 in.) bolt pitch type, the part number of the installation bolt for SST (crankshaft pulley holding tool) is 91551-00850 (quantity: 2).
- Using SST, remove the crankshaft pulley and crankshaft pulley set bolt.

HINT:
If necessary, remove the crankshaft pulley and crankshaft pulley set bolt using SST.
- SST: 09950-50013
- Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley in place and loosen the crankshaft pulley set bolt until 2 or 3 threads are screwed into crankshaft.
- REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER OIL SEAL
- Using a knife, cut off the lip of the timing chain cover oil seal.
- Using a screwdriver, pry out the timing chain cover oil seal.
*a Protective Tape *b Cut Position NOTE:After removal, check the crankshaft and timing chain cover sub-assembly for damage. If damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
