- Check that the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) lights up when the ignition switch is turned to ON.

- CHECK CONNECTION BETWEEN TECHSTREAM AND ECM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Check for communication between the Techstream and ECM.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- Disconnect the throttle body assembly connector.
- Disconnect the accelerator pedal sensor assembly connector.
- Disconnect the camshaft position sensor (No. 1 crank position sensor) (for intake camshaft) connector.
- Disconnect the camshaft position sensor (No. 1 crank position sensor) (for exhaust camshaft) connector.
- Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure sensor connector.
- Disconnect the VALVEMATIC shaft sensor (No. 1 crank position sensor) connector.
- Disconnect the canister pressure sensor connector.
- Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector. (for CVT Models)
- Disconnect the ECM connectors.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
