DTC U0232: Lost Communication with Blind Spot Monitor Slave Module [08/2015 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH)
- Disconnect the O28 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.
- Disconnect the T10 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition O28-1 (CA2P) - T10-1 (CA2P) Always Below 1 Ω O28-6 (CA2N) - T10-6 (CA2N) Always Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN LINE OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE TERMINAL)
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition T10-5 (BLB) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GROUND TERMINAL)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition T10-10 (BLGD) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH
- Replace the blind spot monitor sensor LH. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] .
NEXT: Go to next step
- CHECK DTC
- Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - ] .
- Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
OK
No DTCs are output.
NG → See step 6
OK → END (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH WAS DEFECTIVE)
- REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]
