- Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - ] .

- Check that the engine starts 5 seconds after the ignition switch was turned to ON

- INSPECT ECM (IMO TERMINAL VOLTAGE)
- Disconnect the A25 ECM connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Disconnect the A25 ECM connector.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY - ECM)
- Disconnect the I19 transponder key ECU assembly connector.
- Disconnect the A25 ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition I19-12 (EFII) - A25-29 (IMO) Always Below 1 Ω I19-12 (EFII) or A25-29 (IMO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY
- Replace the transponder key ECU assembly with a new one. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]

Key ID code registration is necessary when replacing the transponder key ECU assembly, refer to Registration. Refer to REGISTRATION [08/2015 - ] .

- CHECK WHETHER ENGINE STARTS
- Using a registered door control transmitter assembly, turn the ignition switch to ON.

- REPLACE ECM
