Reassembly [10/2014 - ]: Procedure
- TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG
HINT:
Fully tighten the front disc brake bleeder plug after bleeding the system.
- INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP
- INSTALL PISTON SEAL
- Apply a light layer of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of a new piston seal.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
Lithium Soap Base Glycol Grease - Install the piston seal to the front disc brake cylinder.NOTE:
Securely install the piston seal into the groove of the front disc brake cylinder.
- Apply a light layer of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of a new piston seal.
- INSTALL CYLINDER BOOT
- Apply a light layer of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of a new cylinder boot and the front disc brake piston.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
*1 Cylinder Boot *2 Front Disc Brake Piston Lithium Soap Base Glycol Grease - Install the cylinder boot to the front disc brake piston as shown in the illustration.
- Apply a light layer of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of a new cylinder boot and the front disc brake piston.
- INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE PISTON
- Install the front disc brake piston and cylinder boot to the front disc brake cylinder as shown in the illustration.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
*1 Front Disc Brake Piston *2 Cylinder Boot *3 Front Disc Brake Cylinder NOTE:- Securely install the cylinder boot into the groove of the disc brake cylinder and front disc brake piston.
- Do not damage the cylinder boot.
- Install the front disc brake piston and cylinder boot to the front disc brake cylinder as shown in the illustration.
