Operation Check [10/2014 - ]

  1. INSPECT INTERIOR LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION 
    NOTE:

    Perform this inspection with the customize parameters at the initial settings.

    The interior light control illuminates the lights below.

    • Engine Switch Illumination
    • Roof Console Box Assembly (Front Interior Light)
    • Spot Light Assembly (Rear Interior Light)
    1. The operations and conditions of this control are described below.
      Operation Condition
      Fade in and illuminate constantly Any door is opened when all doors are closed.
      Illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out When any of the following conditions is met, the interior lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out:
      • The key enters any actuation area around the doors when the engine switch is off and all doors are closed*1.
      • Any door is unlocked when the engine switch is off with all doors closed and locked.
      • The engine switch is turned from on (IG) to off when all doors are closed.
      • All doors are closed after any door is opened when the engine switch is off.
      Fade out immediately When any of the following conditions is met, the interior lights fade out immediately:
      • The engine switch is turned from off to on (ACC) when all doors are closed.
      • All doors are locked when the engine switch is off, all doors are closed and any door is unlocked.
      • All doors are locked again when all doors are already closed and locked.
      • *1: When the lights are on, if the key leaves all of the actuation areas around the doors, after approximately 3 seconds, the lights fade out.
  2. INSPECT AMBIENT LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION (w/ Ambient Light) 
    NOTE:

    Perform this inspection with the customize parameters at the initial settings.

    The ambient light control illuminates the lights below.

    • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (for Front RH) (Ambient Light)
    • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (for Front LH) (Ambient Light)
    • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (for Rear RH) (Ambient Light)
    • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (for Rear LH) (Ambient Light)
    • Console Box Illumination Light Assembly (for Front Side) (Ambient Light)
    • Console Box Illumination Light Assembly (for Rear Side) (Ambient Light)
    • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly LH (for Driver Side) (Ambient Light)
    • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly RH (for Front Passenger Side) (Ambient Light)
    1. Illuminated entry system-linked
      1. The operations and conditions of this control are described below.
        Operation Condition
        Fade in and illuminate constantly When either of the following conditions is met, the ambient lights fade in:
        • Any door is opened when all doors are closed.
        • The engine switch is turned from off to on (IG).
        Illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out When either of the following conditions is met, the ambient lights illuminate for 15 seconds and then fade out:
        • Any door is unlocked when the engine switch is off, all doors are closed and all doors are locked.
        • All doors are closed when any door is opened and the engine switch is off.
        Fade out immediately
        • All doors are locked when the engine switch is off.
        • All doors are closed and any door is unlocked.
        • The shift lever is moved out of P when the light control switch is not in the tail or head position and the engine switch is on (IG).
        Dim The shift lever is moved out of P when the light control switch is in the tail or head position and the engine switch is on (IG).
    2. Mood switch-linked

      HINT: 

      The mood switch is attached to the roof console box assembly.

      1. The operation and condition of this control are described below.
        Operation Condition
        Dimmer When the ambient lights are on, and the mood switch is pressed, the ambient lights dim. When the mood switch is pressed again, the lights fade out.
  3. INSPECT FRONT CONSOLE LIGHT OPERATION 
    NOTE:

    Perform this inspection with the customize parameters at the initial settings.

    The front console light control illuminates the lights below.

    • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (Front Console Light)
    • Console Box Light Assembly (Front Console Light)
    Operation Condition
    Fade in and illuminate constantly When the engine switch is turned from off to on (IG or ACC), the front console lights fade in.
  4. INSPECT BATTERY SAVING CONTROL OPERATION 
    NOTE:

    Perform this inspection with the customize parameters at the initial settings.

    The lights controlled by the battery saving control are as follows:

    • Engine Switch Illumination
    • Roof Console Box Assembly (Front Interior Light)
    • Spot Light Assembly (Rear Interior Light)
    • No. 1 Luggage Compartment Light Assembly
    • Visor Assembly LH/RH (Vanity Light)
    • Courtesy Light Assembly
    • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (Front Console Light)
    • Console Box Light Assembly (Front Console Light)
    • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (for Front RH) (Ambient Light)*1
    • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (for Front LH) (Ambient Light)*1
    • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (for Rear RH) (Ambient Light)*1
    • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (for Rear LH) (Ambient Light)*1
    • Console Box Illumination Light Assembly (for Front Side) (Ambient Light)*1
    • Console Box Illumination Light Assembly (for Rear Side) (Ambient Light)*1
    • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly LH (for Driver Side) (Ambient Light)*1
    • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly RH (for Front Passenger Side) (Ambient Light)*1
    • *1: w/ Ambient Light
    1. The operation and conditions of this control are described below.
      Operation Condition
      Battery saving When 20 minutes elapse after the engine switch is turned from on (ACC or IG) to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off.
      HINT: 
      Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by the battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off.
      • The engine switch is turned on (ACC or IG)
      • Any door is opened and closed
      • The luggage compartment door is opened and closed
      • Any door is unlocked
      • The key enters any exterior actuation area
