Interior Light Circuit [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.
      MAIN BODY

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Illuminated Entry System Front interior light, rear interior light and engine switch illumination ON/OFF Interior door switch is on

      OK

      Each light fades in.

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    (Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [10/2014 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG

  2. INSPECT ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the roof console box assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] ).
    2. Inspect the roof console box assembly (Refer to INSPECTION [10/2014 - ] ).

      OK

      Roof console box assembly is normal.

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] )

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the 3B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N6-6 (CTY) - 3B-35 Always Below 1 Ω
      N6-6 (CTY) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] ).
    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      3B-35 - MB-1 (ILE) Always Below 1 Ω

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] )
