Door Unlock Detection Switch Circuit [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      When checking this item, make sure to check it with the rear door LH locked.
      RL-Door Lock Pos SW Rear door LH unlock detection switch/ON or OFF ON: Rear door LH unlocked
      OFF: Rear door LH locked
      When checking this item, make sure to check it with the rear door RH locked.

  2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the front door lock assembly LH (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] ).
    2. Inspect the front door lock assembly LH (Refer to INSPECTION [10/2014 - ] ).

      OK

      Front door lock assembly LH is normal.

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] )

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the D6 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G1-8 (LSSR) - D6-7 (LSFL) Always Below 1 Ω
      G1-8 (LSSR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G1-7 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  4. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the front door lock assembly RH (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] ).
    2. Inspect the front door lock assembly RH (Refer to INSPECTION [10/2014 - ] ).

      OK

      Front door lock assembly RH is normal.

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] )

    Result: 

    OK

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the D6 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F1-7 (LSSR) - D6-18 (LSFR) Always Below 1 Ω
      F1-7 (LSSR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F1-8 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  6. CHECK DATA LIST

  7. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the rear door lock assembly LH (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] ).
    2. Inspect the rear door lock assembly LH (Refer to INSPECTION [10/2014 - ] ).

      OK

      Rear door lock assembly LH is normal.

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] )

    Result: 

    OK

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the 3C instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I1-6 (LSSR) - 3C-17 Always Below 1 Ω
      I1-6 (LSSR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I1-9 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  9. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] ).
    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Remove the rear door lock assembly RH (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] ).
    2. Inspect the rear door lock assembly RH (Refer to INSPECTION [10/2014 - ] ).

      OK

      Rear door lock assembly RH is normal.

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH

  11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the 3A instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H1-6 (LSSR) - 3A-53 Always Below 1 Ω
      H1-6 (LSSR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H1-9 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  12. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] ).
    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
