Green Indicator Remains Off [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CONFIRM GREEN INDICATOR COMES ON 
    1. After engine switched on (IG) and the manual (SOS) switch red indicator has come on for 2 seconds, confirm that the manual (SOS) switch green indicator comes on for 2 seconds.

      OK

      Green indicator comes on.

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CONFIRM SUBSCRIPTION MODE 
    1. Confirm the indicator status at 5 seconds after engine switch on (IG).

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Green indicator remains on. A
      Green indicator remains off. B
      Red and Green indicators both flash
      (1 second intervals, for 20 seconds).
      C

      HINT: 

      If the red and green indicators are flashing, the system is in shipping mode, so the system should be changed to either active mode or deactive mode.

    Result: 

    CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS 

    (Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2014 - 10/2015] or HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2015 - ] )

    CHANGE SUBSCRIPTION MODE

  3. INPUT VIN WITH TECHSTREAM 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for 10 seconds.
    4. Turn the Techstream on.
    5. Select "Vehicle Inquiry" and input VIN.

    Result:

  4. CONFIRM SUBSCRIPTION MODE 
    1. Confirm the indicator status at 5 seconds after engine switch on (IG).

      Result

      Green indicator remains on. A
      Green indicator remains off. B

  5. REPLACE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
    1. Replace the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] ).
      NOTE:
      • The engine switch must be off.
      • Do not replace the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) with one from another vehicle.

    Result:

  6. PERFORM PRL UPDATE 
    1. Perform "PRL UPDATE" (Refer to PRL UPDATE [10/2014 - ] ).

    PERFORM DCM ACTIVATION 

    (Refer to DCM ACTIVATION [10/2014 - ] )

  7. CHECK DTC 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for 10 seconds.
    4. Turn the Techstream on.
    5. Perform "Health Check" and check for current DTCs (Refer to HEALTH CHECK [10/2014 - ] ).

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output. A
      DTC is output. B

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART

  8. REPLACE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)
