Gateway ECU Communication Stop Mode [10/2014 - 10/2015]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the D66 network gateway ECU connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Network Gateway ECU)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      D66-16 (CA1H) - D66-15 (CA1L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU) 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GROUND TERMINAL) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      (to Network Gateway ECU)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      D66-4 (GND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GROUND TERMINAL) 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE TERMINAL) 
    1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

      (to Network Gateway ECU)

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      D66-2 (BATT) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      D66-9 (IG2) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      D66-10 (IG1) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    OK 

    REPLACE NETWORK GATEWAY ECU

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE TERMINAL)
