Open in Bus 5 Main Bus Line [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CONFIRM MODEL 
    1. Choose the model to be inspected.
        Proceed to
      for Models with Blind Spot Monitor System or Parking Assist Monitor System A
      for Models without Blind Spot Monitor System and Parking Assist Monitor System B

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (NO. 6 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the D131 No. 6 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D131-10 (CANH) - D131-20 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

  3. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (NO. 6 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D131-1 (CANH) - D131-11 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

    REPLACE NO. 6 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR

    NG

  4. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (NO. 5 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the O20 No. 5 CAN junction connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Reconnect the D131 No. 6 CAN junction connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  6. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (NO. 5 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - NO. 6 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Reconnect the O20 No. 5 CAN junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the D131 No. 6 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D131-1 (CANH) - D131-11 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

    REPLACE NO. 6 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINES OR CONNECTOR (NO. 5 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - NO. 6 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 

  7. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU) 
    1. Remove the central gateway ECU.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D127-15 (CA5H) - D127-16 (CA5L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINES OR CONNECTOR (NO. 5 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU) 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2015 - ] 

  8. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU) 
    1. Remove the central gateway ECU.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D127-9 (CAXH) - D127-24 (CAXL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINES OR CONNECTOR (NO. 6 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU)

    REPLACE CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2015 - ] 

  9. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (NO. 6 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the D131 No. 6 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Remove the central gateway ECU.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      D127-9 (CAXH) - D127-24 (CAXL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINES OR CONNECTOR (NO. 6 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU)

    REPLACE CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2015 - ] 

  12. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU) 
    1. Remove the central gateway ECU.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D127-15 (CA5H) - D127-16 (CA5L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω
