Open in Bus 5 Main Bus Line [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CONFIRM MODEL 
    1. Choose the model to be inspected.
        Proceed to
      for Models with Blind Spot Monitor System or Parking Assist Monitor System A
      for Models without Blind Spot Monitor System and Parking Assist Monitor System B

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (NO. 6 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the D131 No. 6 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition

  3. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (NO. 6 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the O20 No. 5 CAN junction connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Disconnect the D131 No. 6 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINES OR CONNECTOR (NO. 5 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - NO. 6 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 

  7. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU) 
    1. Remove the central gateway ECU.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      D127-15 (CA5H) - D127-16 (CA5L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

    REPLACE CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2015 - ] 

  8. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU) 
    1. Remove the central gateway ECU.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the D131 No. 6 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
