DTC P279E: Four Wheel Drive (4WD) Range Signal Circuit Range / Performance [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU - TRANSFER POSITION SWITCH)
- Disconnect the F47 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.
- Disconnect the F91 transfer position switch connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F47-14 (2-4) - F91-1 (2-4) Always Below 1 Ω F47-13 (LO) - F91-5 (LO) Always Below 1 Ω F91-3 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω F47-14 (2-4) or F91-1 (2-4) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher F47-13 (LO) or F91-5 (LO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher F47-14 (2-4) or F91-1 (2-4) - F47-13 (LO) or F91-5 (LO) Always 10 kΩ or higher Result

- Remove the transfer position switch with its connector still connected.
