DTC P17A0: Automatic Disconnecting Differential Motor Control Circuit Open [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU - A.D.D. ACTUATOR (DIFFERENTIAL VACUUM ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY))
- Disconnect the F46 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.
- Disconnect the D1 A.D.D. actuator (differential vacuum actuator assembly) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F46-2 (DM1) - D1-1 (DM1) Always Below 1 Ω F46-6 (DM2) - D1-2 (DM2) Always Below 1 Ω Result
Proceed to OK NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

- INSPECT A.D.D. ACTUATOR (DIFFERENTIAL VACUUM ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY) (A.D.D. SHIFT MOTOR)
- Disconnect the D1 A.D.D. actuator (differential vacuum actuator assembly) connector.

(A.D.D. Actuator (Differential Vacuum Actuator Assembly)) - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 (DM1) - 2 (DM2) Always 1.5 to 10 Ω Result

REPLACE 4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]

- Disconnect the D1 A.D.D. actuator (differential vacuum actuator assembly) connector.
