Removal [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - 08/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2022 - ] ).

  2. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] ).
  3. REMOVE STARTER COVER 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and starter cover.

  4. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the ground wire.

    2. Disconnect the starter connector.
    3. Open the terminal cap.
    4. Remove the nut and bolt, and then disconnect the starter wire.
    5. Remove the 2 bolts and starter.

  5. REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER
