DTC B1620/21: Side Airbag Sensor RH Circuit Malfunction; DTC B1622/81: Lost communication with Side Airbag Sensor RH [07/2014 - ]: Procedure

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
   WARNING:

   Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

3. Interchange the side airbag sensor assembly RH with the side airbag sensor assembly LH and connect the connectors to them.
4. Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
6. Clear the DTCs stored in the memory. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2014 - ] .
7. Turn the ignition switch off.
8. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
9. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2014 - ] .
   RESULT
   
   

   Result	Proceed to
   DTC B1620/21, B1622/81, B1625/22 and B1627/82 are not output.	A
   DTC B1625/22 or B1627/82 is output. (for 5 Door)	B
   DTC B1625/22 or B1627/82 is output. (for 3 Door)	C
   DTC B1620/21 or B1622/81 is output.	D

   HINT: 

   DTCs other than B1620/21, B1622/81, B1625/22 and B1627/82 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

10. Turn the ignition switch off.
11. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

12. Return the side airbag sensor assembly RH and the side airbag sensor assembly LH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.
