Installation [08/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER 
    1. Install the transmission oil cooler to the front engine mounting bracket with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 13.5 N*m (138 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Install the No. 8 water by-pass hose and No. 9 water by-pass hose, and slide the 4 clips to secure the hose.
      NOTE:
      • Make sure the paint marks are aligned as shown in the illustration.
      • Make sure that the claws marked A in the illustration are facing toward the top of the vehicle.
      • Make sure that the claws marked B in the illustration are facing toward the LH of the vehicle.
      • Make sure that the claws marked C in the illustration are facing toward the front end of the vehicle.
      • Make sure that the claws marked D in the illustration are facing toward the underside of the vehicle.

      *1 No. 8 Water By-pass Hose
      *2 No. 9 Water By-pass Hose
      *a Red Paint Mark
      *b White Paint Mark
      *c Yellow Paint Mark
    3. Attach the 3 clamp to the No. 8 water by-pass hose and No. 9 water by-pass hose.
    4. Install the oil cooler inlet hose and oil cooler outlet hose, and slide the 4 clips to secure the hose.
      NOTE:
      • Make sure the paint marks are aligned as shown in the illustration.
      • Make sure that the claws marked A in the illustration are facing toward the front end of the vehicle.
      • Position the claws of the clips so that they do not interfere with other parts unless otherwise specified.

  2. INSTALL BATTERY BRACKET REINFORCEMENT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. INSTALL FRONT BATTERY BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY 
  5. INSTALL BATTERY 
  6. INSTALL BATTERY INSULATOR 
  7. INSTALL BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. CONNECT CABLE TO POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2016 - ] .

  10. ADD AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID 

    See step  5

  11. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  12. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  13. ADJUST AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2015 - ]
