DTC P0A09-591: DC / DC Converter Status Circuit Low Input [11/2014 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR) See step 3
NG → CONNECT SECURELY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR) See step 4
NG → CONNECT SECURELY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU (CHECK WAVEFORM)
- Connect an oscilloscope between the power management control ECU terminals specified in the table below.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the waveform.

HINT:
- Perform this inspection with the power management control ECU connector connected.
- Turn the power switch off.

OK: Go to next step
- CLEAR DTC
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.
- Turn the power switch off.
NEXT: Go to next step
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)
- Turn the power switch on (READY).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs are output.
Result
Result Proceed to DTC P0A09-591 is not output. A DTC P0A09-591 is output again. B - Turn the power switch off.

- CHECK POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.NOTE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair manual because this may cause a malfunction.
- Disconnect connector A59 from the inverter with converter assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
