Removal [11/2014 - ]

  1. PRECAUTION 

    Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2014 - ] 

  2. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2014 - ] 

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side. See step  10.

  4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side. See step  11.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 3 claws and guide.

    2. Disconnect the connector to remove the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
  6. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Open the glove compartment door.
    2. Disengage the claw and release the glove compartment door stopper sub-assembly.

      *1 Glove Compartment Door Stopper Sub-assembly
      *2 Stopper
    3. Slightly bend stoppers (A) and (B) in the directions indicated by the arrows in the illustration and pull the glove compartment door assembly until the stoppers are released.
    4. Open the glove compartment door assembly to approximately 65° from its closed position. Pull it horizontally in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 2 hinges and remove the glove compartment door assembly.

      NOTE: Pulling the glove compartment door assembly upward to remove it causes the hinges to deform. Be sure to pull out the glove compartment door assembly horizontally.

  7. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR STOPPER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the claw to remove the glove compartment door stopper sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE CENTER FLOOR CARPET COVER RH 
    1. Pull the front center floor carpet cover RH in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 4 claws and guide, and remove the center floor carpet cover RH.

  9. REMOVE CENTER FLOOR CARPET COVER LH 
    1. Pull the front center floor carpet cover LH in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 4 claws and guide, and remove the center floor carpet cover LH.

  10. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  See step  3
  11. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX SHEET  See step  4
  12. REMOVE LOWER CONSOLE BOX POCKET  See step  5
  13. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT  See step  6
  14. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY  See step  7
  15. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 screws <E>.

    2. Disengage the clamp.
    3. Disconnect each connector to remove the combination meter assembly.
  16. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Radio Receiver) 
    1. Disengage the 7 claws and remove the center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

  17. REMOVE RADIO TUNER OPENING COVER WITH BRACKET (w/o Radio Receiver) 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts <A> and radio tuner opening cover with bracket.

  18. REMOVE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for Radio Receiver Type)  . Refer to REMOVAL [11/2014 - ] - Step 11
  19. REMOVE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for Navigation Receiver Type)  . Refer to REMOVAL [11/2014 - ] - Step 11
  20. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a molding remover, disengage the 11 claws.

    2. Disengage the clamp.
    3. Disconnect each connector to remove the lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.
  21. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL [11/2014 - ] - Step 16
  22. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK CONTROL UNIT ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL [11/2014 - ] - Step 13
  23. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH  See step  10
  24. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH  See step  11
  25. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws <E>.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and guide.
    3. Disconnect each connector.
    4. Disengage the clamp to remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
  26. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL [11/2014 - ] - Step 14
  27. REMOVE GLOVE BOX LIGHT ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL [11/2014 - ] - Step 2
  28. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the claw and 2 guides to disconnect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  29. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Satellite Radio)  . Refer to REMOVAL [11/2014 - ] - Step 2
  30. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Satellite Radio)  . Refer to REMOVAL [11/2014 - ] - Step 3
  31. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the claw and disconnect the connector as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage each clamp.

      *1 Room Temperature Sensor
    4. Disengage the 2 claws to disconnect the room temperature sensor from the lower instrument panel sub-assembly.
    5. Disengage the 2 claws.
    6. Remove the 2 bolts <A>, 10 screws <C> and screw <D> and lower instrument panel sub-assembly.
