Taillight Relay Circuit [12/2014 - ]: Procedure
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
- Check that the relay operates.MAIN BODY

Taillight relay operates. (Taillights illuminate.)

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AUXILIARY BATTERY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the 3E instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3E-1 - Body ground Ignition switch off 11 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
- Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [12/2014 - ] .
- Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.
- Connect a positive (+) lead from the auxiliary battery to terminal 3E-1.
- Connect a negative (-) lead from the auxiliary battery to terminal MB-14 (TRLY).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to REMOVAL [12/2014 - ]
- REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL [12/2014 - ]
