DTC P0A10-592: DC / DC Converter Status Circuit High Input [12/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU (CHECK WAVEFORM) See step   3 

    NG → See step   4 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CLEAR DTC See step   4 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      P0A10-592 is not output. A
      P0A10-592 is output again. B
    5. Turn the ignition switch off.

    B → See step   9 

    A → See step   10 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU) 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    1. Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
      NOTE:

      After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the ignition switch to ON (READY), unless instructed by the appropriate service information because this may cause a malfunction.

    2. Disconnect connector A38 from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
    3. Disconnect connector A47 from the inverter with converter assembly.
    4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    5. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).
    6. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the chart below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A47-3 (VLO) or A38-16 (VLO) - Body ground Ignition switch ON (IG) Below 1 V

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Inverter with Converter Assembly)
      *b Rear view of wire harness connector
      (to Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU)
      NOTE:

      Turning the ignition switch to ON (IG) with the inverter with converter assembly connector and the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

    7. Turn the ignition switch off.
    8. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    9. Connect the inverter with converter assembly connector.
    10. Connect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU 

    Refer to COMPONENTS [12/2014 - ]

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  6. CLEAR DTC See step   4 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  7. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      P0A10-592 is not output. A
      P0A10-592 is output again. B
    5. Turn the ignition switch off.

    B → See step   8 

    A → COMPLETED 

  8. REPLACE INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  COMPONENTS [12/2014 - ] 
  9. REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU. Refer to  COMPONENTS [12/2014 - ] 
  10. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to  CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [12/2014 - ]
