Headlight Beam Level Warning Circuit [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU ASSEMBLY (INPUT SIGNAL) 
    1. Disconnect the A34 headlight leveling ECU assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A34-6 (WNG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      Ignition switch off Below 1 V

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Headlight Leveling ECU Assembly)

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → See step   3 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the I17 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A34-6 (WNG) - I17-11 (LVWG) Always Below 1 Ω
      A34-6 (WNG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   4 

  3. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [09/2014 - ] 
  4. GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [09/2014 - ]
