Main Switch Circuit [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LANE-KEEPING ASSIST MAIN SWITCH 
    1. Remove the lane-keeping assist main switch. Refer to REMOVAL [09/2014 - ] .
    2. Inspect the lane-keeping assist main switch. Refer to INSPECTION [09/2014 - ] .

    NG → See step   4 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LANE-KEEPING ASSIST MAIN SWITCH - LANE DEPARTURE WARNING CAMERA) 
    1. Disconnect the S21 lane departure warning camera connector.
    2. Disconnect the I178 lane-keeping assist main switch connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S21-4 (LKSW) - I178-6 (ECU) Always Below 1 Ω
      I178-3 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      S21-4 (LKSW) or I178-6 (ECU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [09/2014 - ] 
  4. REPLACE LANE-KEEPING ASSIST MAIN SWITCH. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2014 - ]
