DTC C2198/98: Initialization Switch (for Test Mode DTC) [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

1. Remove the tire pressure warning reset switch.

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   1 (INT) - 2 (E)	On	Below 1 Ω
   	Off	10 kΩ or higher

   TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
   
   

   *a	Component without harness connected (Tire Pressure Warning Reset Switch)
   *b	On
   *c	Off

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH 

(Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - 10/2015] or REMOVAL [10/2015 - ] )

Result: 

OK 

See step  2

1. Disconnect the D55 tire pressure warning reset switch connector.
2. Disconnect the J26 tire pressure warning ECU and receiver connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   J26-3 (CLSW) - D55-1 (INT)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   J26-3 (CLSW) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   D55-1 (INT) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   D55-2 (E) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER 

(Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] )

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
