Main Body ECU Communication Stop Mode [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the D6 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU))

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D6-14 (CANH) - D6-13 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the 3B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Instrument Panel Junction Block Assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3B-7 - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Disconnect the 3D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    4. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    5. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3D-27 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ]

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ]

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Instrument Panel Junction Block Assembly)
      - -

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3D-27 - MB-30 (BECU) Always Below 1 Ω
      3B-7 - MB-11 (GND1) Always Below 1 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY (IG1 NO. 2 RELAY AND ACC RELAY) 
    1. Inspect the IG1 NO. 2 relay and ACC NO. 1 relay of the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      HINT: 

      If the IG signal circuit and ACC signal circuit have no problem, replace the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - ]
