TC and CG Terminal Circuit [10/2014 - 10/2015]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 
    1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output (Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2014 - 10/2015] ).

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output. A
      DTCs are output. B

    Result: 

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

    (Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2014 - 10/2015] )

    Result:

  2. CHECK DTC (C2179/79) 
    1. Check if DTC C2179/79 is output (Refer to DTC C2179/79: Tire Pressure Monitor ECU Communication Stop [10/2014 - ] ).

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C2179/79 is not output. A
      DTC C2179/79 is output. B

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC C2179/79 

    (Refer to DTC C2179/79: Tire Pressure Monitor ECU Communication Stop [10/2014 - ] )

    Result:

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TC of DLC3 - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the D104 power management control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D28-13 (TC) - D104-11 (TC) Always Below 1 Ω
      D28-13 (TC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D104-11 (TC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CG of DLC3 - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D28-4 (CG) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. INSPECT DLC3 (TC VOLTAGE) 
    1. Reconnect the D104 power management control ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D28-13 (TC) - D28-4 (CG) Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

    REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU
