Removal [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL 
  2. SEPARATE NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and separate the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly from the vehicle.

  3. REMOVE REAR STRUT ROD ASSEMBLY 
    1. Support the rear axle carrier sub-assembly with a jack using a wooden block.

      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Jack
      *2 Wooden Block
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the rear strut rod assembly (front).

    3. Remove the bolt, nut and rear strut rod assembly from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.

      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Loosen the bolt with the nut secured.
