DTC C1A64: Brake Control Signal Mismatch [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM) 

    HINT: 

    Pre-collision system DTC C1A64 may be stored due to a malfunction in the electronically controlled brake system. Therefore, it is necessary to check for and troubleshoot electronically controlled brake system DTCs first.

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Trouble Codes.
    5. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - ]

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Electronically controlled brake system DTCs are not output A
      Electronically controlled brake system DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    GO TO ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2015 - ] 

    Result:

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Codes.
    5. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2015 - ]

    6. Perform the following procedure.

      HINT: 

      If the following procedure is not performed, the previously output DTC cannot be detected.

      1. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait 0.5 seconds or more.
    7. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2015 - ]

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C1A64 is not output A
      DTC C1A64 is output B

    Result: 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2015 - ] 

    Result:

  3. REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the driving support ECU assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

    Result:

  4. CHECK FOR DTCs (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Codes.
    5. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2015 - ]

    6. Perform the following procedure.

      HINT: 

      If the following procedure is not performed, the previously output DTC cannot be detected.

      1. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait 0.5 seconds or more.
    7. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2015 - ]

      DTC C1A64 is not output A
      DTC C1A64 is output B

    Result: 

    END (DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE) 

    Result: 

    REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU (BRAKE BOOSTER WITH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY). Refer to  COMPONENTS [10/2014 - ]
