Pre-collision System Cancel Switch Circuit [10/2014 - 10/2015]: Procedure
- INSPECT PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Remove the pre-collision system cancel switch assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - 10/2015]
).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 Pressed Below 1 Ω Not pressed 10 kΩ or higher TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Component without harness connected

NG
REPLACE PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(Refer to COMPONENTS [10/2014 - 10/2015] )

OK

- Remove the pre-collision system cancel switch assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - 10/2015]
).
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the D33 pre-collision system cancel switch assembly connector.
- Disconnect the D38 driving support ECU assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D33-1 - D38-5 (PBSW) Always Below 1 Ω D33-1 or D38-5 (PBSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
Result:
NG
REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
Result:
OK

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the D33 pre-collision system cancel switch assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D33-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
