Installation [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Engage the 2 clips to install a new rear No. 2 side rail spacer.

1. Insert the guide into the body hole and engage the clip to temporarily install a new rear No. 3 side rail spacer.

2. Install the rear No. 3 side rail spacer with a new bolt.

   Torque: 11 N*m (112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf) 

1. Check that the power switch is off.
2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
   WARNING:

   Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

3. Insert the 2 hooks into the body holes.
4. Install the curtain shield airbag assembly with 3 new bolts, 5 new clips (A) with pins and 2 spacers, and engage 4 clips (B) in the order shown in the illustration.

   Torque: 11 N*m (112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf) 

   NOTE:

   Do not twist the curtain shield airbag assembly when installing it.

   HINT: 

   Engage the 2 claws to install each new clip (A).

   *a	Clip (A)	*b	Clip (B)

5. Using needle nose pliers, push the 5 pins into the 5 clips (A).
   NOTE:

   • Do not damage the pins.
   • Make sure that the pins of the clips (A) are pushed in firmly.
6. Connect the airbag connector.

   NOTE:

   When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

7. Push in the airbag connector lock to install the curtain shield airbag assembly connector.
