DTC P2532-772: Ignition Switch Run Position Circuit High [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Check for DTCs.

      Result

      Proceed to Proceed to
      P2532-772 only is output. A
      DTCs except P2532-772 are output. B
    5. Turn the power switch off.

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CAN BUS CHECK) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: System Select / CAN Bus Check.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      All of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed. A
      None of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed, or some of them are not displayed. B
    4. Turn the power switch off.

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

    w/ Central Gateway ECU: Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2015 - ]

    w/o Central Gateway ECU: Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2015 - ]

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (+B SHORT) 
    1. Disconnect the A67 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

      (to Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU Assembly)
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A67-3 (IG2) - Body ground Power switch off 1 V or less
    3. Reconnect the A67 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

    OK 

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to COMPONENTS [10/2015 - ] )

    NG

  4. INSPECT NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY (IG2) 

    Refer to INSPECTION [10/2014 - ]

    NG 

    REPLACE NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY 

    (Refer to COMPONENTS [10/2014 - ] )

    OK

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 INTEGRATION RELAY) 
    1. Disconnect the A67 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.
    2. Remove the No. 1 integration relay from the engine room relay block and junction block assembly.

      (to Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU Assembly)
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A67-3 (IG2) - Body ground Power switch off 1 V or less
    4. Install the No. 1 integration relay.
    5. Reconnect the A67 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK

  6. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS 
    1. Check for intermittent problems.

      Refer to CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [10/2014 - ]

      1. Check the connection and terminal contact pressure of the connectors and wire harnesses between the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly and the engine room relay block and junction block assembly.
      2. When the power switch is on (READY), jiggle the connectors and wire harnesses between the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly and the engine room relay block and junction block assembly.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Problem symptom does not recur. A
      Problem symptom recurs. B

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
