DTC P0705-757: Transmission Range Sensor Circuit [10/2014 - 10/2015]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SHIFT SENSOR SW) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Shift Sensor SW - P, Shift Sensor SW - R, Shift Sensor SW - N, Shift Sensor SW - D, Shift Sensor SW - FD, Shift Sensor SW - RV, Shift Sensor SW - MJ.
    4. While slowly moving the shift lever from P to D, then back to P, read the Data List (Shift Sensor SW) displayed on the Techstream.

      HINT: 

      Be sure to move the shift lever slowly.

  2. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS 

    (Refer to CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [10/2014 - ] )

    REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU 

    (Refer to COMPONENTS [10/2014 - 10/2015] )

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS, COMPONENT AND AREA 

  3. CHECK SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR 
    1. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the B60 shift lever position sensor connector.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B60-8 (+B) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      NOTE:

      Turning the power switch on (IG) with the shift lever position sensor connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

    4. Turn the power switch off.
    5. Reconnect the B60 shift lever position sensor connector.

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT

  5. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the shift lever position sensor connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

    REPLACE SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR
