Fuel Injector Circuit [10/2014 - 10/2015]: Procedure

  1. Check Terminal Voltage (Power Source Of Fuel Injector Assembly) 
    1. Disconnect The Fuel Injector Assembly Connectors.

    2. Turn The Power Switch On (Ig).
    3. Measure The Voltage According To The Value(S) In The Table Below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B52-1 - Body Ground Power Switch On (Ig) 11 To 14 V
      B14-1 - Body Ground Power Switch On (Ig) 11 To 14 V
      Z1-1 - Body Ground Power Switch On (Ig) 11 To 14 V
      Z2-1 - Body Ground Power Switch On (Ig) 11 To 14 V

      *A Front View Of Wire Harness Connector
      (To Fuel Injector Assembly)

    Result: 

    Ng

    Ok

  2. Inspect Fuel Injector Assembly (Injection And Volume) 
    1. Check The Fuel Injector Assembly Injection And Volume (Refer to Inspection [10/2014 - ] ).

      Hint: 

      Perform "Inspection After Repair" After Replacing The Fuel Injector Assembly (Refer to Initialization [10/2014 - ] ).

    Result: 

    Ng 

    Replace Fuel Injector Assembly 

    (Refer to Removal [10/2014 - ] )

    Result: 

    Ok

  3. Check Harness And Connector (Fuel Injector Assembly - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect The ECM Connector.
    2. Disconnect The Fuel Injector Assembly Connectors.
    3. Measure The Resistance According To The Value(S) In The Table Below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B52-2 - B51-20 (#10) Always Below 1 Ω
      B14-2 - B51-17 (#20) Always Below 1 Ω
      Z1-2 - B51-18 (#30) Always Below 1 Ω
      Z2-2 - B51-19 (#40) Always Below 1 Ω
      B52-2 Or B51-20 (#10) - Body Ground Always 10 KΩ Or Higher
      B14-2 Or B51-17 (#20) - Body Ground Always 10 KΩ Or Higher
      Z1-2 Or B51-18 (#30) - Body Ground Always 10 KΩ Or Higher
      Z2-2 Or B51-19 (#40) - Body Ground Always 10 KΩ Or Higher

    Result: 

    Ok 

    Proceed To Next Suspected Area Shown In Problem Symptoms Table 

    (Refer to Problem Symptoms Table [10/2014 - ] )

    Result: 

    Ng 

    Repair Or Replace Harness Or Connector 

  4. Check Harness And Connector (Fuel Injector Assembly - No. 1 Integration Relay) 
    1. Disconnect The Fuel Injector Assembly Connectors.
    2. Remove The No. 1 Integration Relay From The Engine Room Relay Block And Junction Block Assembly.
    3. Measure The Resistance According To The Value(S) In The Table Below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B52-1 - 1A-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      B14-1 - 1A-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      Z1-1 - 1A-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      Z2-1 - 1A-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      B52-1 Or 1A-3 - Body Ground Always 10 KΩ Or Higher
      B14-1 Or 1A-3 - Body Ground Always 10 KΩ Or Higher
      Z1-1 Or 1A-3 - Body Ground Always 10 KΩ Or Higher
      Z2-1 Or 1A-3 - Body Ground Always 10 KΩ Or Higher

    Result: 

    Ok 

    Check ECM Power Source Circuit 

    (Refer to ECM Power Source Circuit [10/2014 - 10/2015] )

    Result: 

    Ng 

    Repair Or Replace Harness Or Connector
