DTC C1210/36: Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate Sensor Undone; DTC C1336/98: Zero Point Calibration of Acceleration Sensor Undone [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR
    1. Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (Refer to CALIBRATION [10/2014 - ] ).

    NEXT

    See step  2

  2. RECONFIRM DTC
    1. Turn the power switch off.
    2. Clear the DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - ] ).
    3. Turn the power switch on (READY).
    4. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 30 km/h (18 mph) or more, turn the steering wheel, and decelerate the vehicle (depress the brake pedal).
    5. Check if the same DTC is output (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - ] ).

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs C1210/36 and/or C1336/98 are output. A
DTCs C1210/36 and C1336/98 are not output. B

      HINT:

      • These DTCs are stored because zero point calibration has not been completed.
      • End the procedure if the same DTCs are not stored after completion of zero point calibration.

    See step  3

  3. CHECK AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
    1. Turn the power switch off.
    2. Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) has been installed properly (Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2014 - ] ).

      OK

The airbag ECU assembly is tightened to the specified torque.

The airbag ECU assembly is not tilted.

    NG

    INSTALL AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY CORRECTLY

    (Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2014 - ] )

    Result:

    OK

    See step  4

  4. REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY
    1. Replace the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] ).
      NOTE:

Check the yaw rate and acceleration sensor signal after replacement (Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE [10/2014 - 10/2015] or TEST MODE PROCEDURE [10/2015 - ] ).

    NEXT

    See step  5

  5. RECONFIRM DTC
